A fire at an oil depot in Engels, Russia, has been observed for the fourth day.
They still cannot completely extinguish the fire that arose after the Ukrainian drone attack. But the area of the fire allegedly decreased by 80%, and the smoke also decreased. Also, an industrial enterprise is on fire, not an oil depot at the Engels-2 military airfield. On January 11, the governor of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, made this statement on Telegram.
The process of fuel burnout continues, specialists are taking all necessary measures. Experts from Rospotrebnadzor continue to monitor air conditions on an ongoing basis, the report says.
We would like to remind you that on January 8, units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, struck the Kombinat Kristal oil depot, which supplies fuel to the Engels-2 military airfield, where the enemy’s strategic aviation is based.
A large-scale fire broke out, and fuel tanks began to explode one after another.
