Belarus will not open foreign polling stations in this year’s presidential elections.
All due to the fact that the previously created “appropriate security measures” allegedly will not exist. Such legislative changes were also justified by the fact that there were fewer diplomatic corps workers abroad.
Belarus hopes that other states will not prevent Belarusian citizens from crossing the border to exercise their voting rights.
Earlier, the Central Electoral Commission of Belarus published a list of candidates for the presidential elections – among them is the current president of the country, Alexander Lukashenko. He can be re-elected as president for a seventh term.
Voting day was set for January 26.
