On the night of today, January 9 (from 19.30 on January 8), the Russians attacked Ukraine with a total of 70 Shahed attack drones and simulator drones of various types in the Russian directions of Millerovo, Orel, Kursk, Bryansk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the report said.
As of 09.00:
- it was confirmed that 46 attack UAVs of the Shahed type and other types of drones were killed in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkov, Cherkassy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Kherson and Nikolaev regions;
- 24 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences);
- due to the fall of downed attack UAVs, private houses were damaged in the Kharkov, Sumy and Cherkasy regions.
