Season 2 of The Squid Game breaks Netflix records

The continuation of the cult series gained 126.2 million views in 11 days, setting a new record among all Netflix projects.

The second season of the series Squid Game became an absolute record holder for Netflix, garnering 126.2 million views just 11 days after the premiere. This figure became the best for the platform series in a very short time, reports Variety.

The sequel to the South Korean hit now ranks as Netflix’s second most-watched non-English-language series of all time, behind only the first season, which garnered 265.2 million views in 91 days.

In the overall ranking, taking into account English-language series, the second season of Squid Game is in fourth position. The first season of Squid Game, Wednesday and the fourth season of Stranger Things remain ahead.

The wild success of the second season proves that the story of the deadly survival game continues to capture the hearts of millions of viewers around the world.

It was previously reported that Netflix published the first teaser for the comedy Happy Gilmore 2, in which Adam Sandler once again plays the leading role.
