New standards of pre-medical training for military personnel have been approved in Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense has approved two new pre-medical training standards for military personnel based on NATO experience. These teachings will include lectures and practical exercises. The defense department announced this on Facebook on January 8.
It is noted that medical care is something that is taught in basic training. For every soldier must be able to provide assistance with critical bleeding, respiratory failure, the prevention of hypothermia and the evacuation of the wounded and other skills that every soldier must have.
And the basic level of advanced medical care is in-depth training with a focus on assistance in difficult conditions, ensuring airway patency, maintaining circulation and techniques for moving the wounded. For military specialists, riflemen, orderlies and all officers without exception.
The training is planned in the format of lectures with multimedia support, practical exercises in small groups and simulations in the field.
The Ministry of Defense noted that certified instructors will evaluate the knowledge and skills of military personnel through theoretical and practical tasks. Those who demonstrate good results will be able to continue their studies in medical specialties.
Let us recall that recently the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, approved the concept of creating a separate medical unit in the army, which will allow organizational scaling of the provision of medical care in the combat zone.
