Over the past year, the State Bureau of Investigation has exposed more than 100 officials who organized the illegal passage of men across the border.
Among the 120 defendants, the most common were employees of the TCC, MSEC, doctors and law enforcement officers. Last year, DBI employees investigated 287 criminal proceedings on such facts.
It is noted that law enforcement officers documented bribes in criminal proceedings for the illegal transportation of military personnel across the state border in the amount of UAH 11 million 400 thousand. The property of the defendants with a total value of almost 11 million UAH was also seized.
Bureau employees found that in order to smuggle men abroad, criminals organized fake diagnoses for citizens, registered them as volunteers and drivers of humanitarian cargo, removed them from military registration through the opening of fictitious criminal proceedings, etc.
In addition, schemes for transferring men across the border outside checkpoints or through fake marriage to a person with a disability were exposed.
Let us remind you that recently the SBU exposed two officials from one of the regional medical institutions who, for money, falsified medical histories of conscripts and provided them with fictitious hospitalization. Thus, men avoided the draft on the basis of fictitious disability.
