Scholz’s party considers Kiesewetter’s message, in which he spoke about Scholz’s alleged plans for visiting Putin, “problematic, insidious and vile.”
SPD General Secretary Matthias Miersch denied the statement of opposition politician Roderich Kiesewetter, who said that Chancellor Olaf Scholz will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin before February 23. Spiegel reported this.
Mirsch considers Kiesewetter’s message, in which he spoke of Scholz’s alleged plans for a visit to Putin, “problematic, insidious and vile.” According to him, this is a “clear violation of the agreement on fair competition” against the backdrop of the upcoming elections.
He called on the General Secretary of the Christian Democratic Union party to intervene in the situation, and expected an apology and resignation from the opposition politician himself.
Earlier, the security spokesman for Germany’s main opposition party, the CDU, Roderich Kiesewetter, said he had seen signs that Chancellor Olaf Scholz was planning to meet with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin before the election in parliamentary on February 23.
Let’s add that in November, Scholz and Putin had a phone conversation for the first time in almost two years. Zelensky opposed Scholz’s appeal to the Russian dictator.
