The Kremlin is trying to strengthen its power over the occupied territories of Ukraine and is creating representation of the occupied territories in the Russian parliament.
The Russians are preparing for the next illegal elections in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and are launching a chatbot that will help “voters” vote for their preferred candidate or complain. The Center for National Resistance (CNS) reported this on Saturday, January 4.
Illegal elections in the WOT should take place on September 14, 2025 and aim to create requirements for increasing the number of “deputies” from these territories in the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Thus, the Kremlin is trying to strengthen its power in the occupied territories of Ukraine, especially in the regions of Lugansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporozhye.
“The Putin regime hopes to create a fictitious representation of these regions in the Russian parliament,” the report said.
According to CNS, local collaborators received the task from the Kremlin to organize 9 single-mandate electoral districts in TOT of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaborizhzhya and Kherson regions.
Previously, CNS reported that during TOT, civilians were more often left untreated as the number of wounded Russian soldiers in hospitals increased.
