The scheme for evading mobilization and illegally leaving men abroad was eliminated in the Transcarpathian region.
The SBU exposed two officials from one of the regional medical institutions. Two ophthalmologists from one of the hospitals falsified medical records of conscripts for money and provided them with fictitious hospitalization. Thus, men avoided the draft on the basis of fictitious disability. Doctors valued their services at 6 thousand. dollars The Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region reported this on January 4 in Telegram.
Subsequently, these false documents were transferred to the center for medical and social examination, where the clients’ diagnoses were confirmed and a disability group was assigned. Thus, in the future, the men could freely leave Ukraine.
Law enforcement officers conducted eight authorized searches in several medical institutions in the region, a center for medical and social examination and the premises of the defendants. Documents confirming criminal activity, as well as cash in foreign currency, were seized.
Both doctors have already been informed of the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 368-2 (abuse of influence) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. They face up to five years in prison.
Let us remind you that two more schemes for evading the mobilization of men of military age were discovered in Transcarpathia. The head of the district TCC and the deputy commander of the Teroborona brigade received suspicion. In exchange for bribes, they offered conscripts to avoid conscription on the basis of false documents about “poor” health.
