The occupiers are trying to infiltrate in small groups near Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.
Using infiltration advance tactics, Russian troops are trying to interrupt the communications and logistics chains of the Ukrainian defense forces. The press secretary of the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces “Khortitsa” Viktor Tregubov announced this on January 4 during a telethon.
In order to do this, they are trying to cling to small groups in populated areas south of Pokrovsk, on the principle that a small group clings to itself, gains a foothold, and the next one approaches,” he noted.
Tregubov also informed that the enemy is trying to bypass Pokrovsk and therefore is avoiding urban battles. And Ukrainian defenders are hitting the enemy with drones and precision weapons.
Let us remind you that the Russian army has not yet reached the borders of Pokrovsk, but is trying to cover it through neighboring settlements and villages. The enemy also concentrated all available weapons in the city area.
