The head of state recalled that Ukraine needs to constantly replace its supply of missiles for air defense systems.
Representatives of Ukraine will hold a series of meetings with foreign partners. This is necessary to strengthen the air defense of the country. President Vladimir Zelensky said this in an evening speech.
He drew attention to the fact that in the first three days of the new year alone, the Russian army used more than 300 attack drones and about 20 missiles, including ballistic ones, against cities and Ukrainian village.
“The fear of Russia, which does not lose intensity, requires us and all partners not to slow down in the development of our air shield, all elements of its system – from Patriot to mobile fire groups, Zelensky said.
Ukraine needs to continue to replace its stock of air defense missiles and increase the capabilities of mobile fire groups, the head of state recalled.
“I thank all the partners who helped us prepare for the meetings and negotiations next week for the greater strength of our air defense. The schedule for the relevant work was previously agreed upon,” concluded Zelensky.
We remind you that on New Year’s Eve the Russians launched 111 drones across Ukraine. Of these, 63 were shot. Another 46 enemy UAVs were lost. Two drones flew to Russia and Belarus.
At the same time, the “martyrs” managed to fly to Kyiv and the air defense worked on them. Debris from downed drones fell in Svyatoshinsky and Pechersky districts and caused fires.
