The occupiers continue to actively storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders in Vremenny Yar and Toretsk in the Kramatorsk and Toretsk directions. The enemy also went on the offensive in the Stupochek and Leonidovka areas. Within 24 hours, the enemy managed to destroy some positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The operational-strategic group of troops “Khortitsa” reported this on January 2 in Telegram.
As a result of enemy fire, some positions were destroyed, and measures are being taken to prevent the tactical situation from deteriorating, the military noted.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that 140 military clashes took place at the front during the day. In particular, in the Kramatorsk direction, 14 military clashes were recorded in the areas of the settlements of Chasov Yar, Stupochki and Predtechi. And in the Toretsk direction, the invaders, with the support of aviation, carried out seven attacks near Toretsk, Dilievka and in the direction of Shcherbinovka.
Let us recall that recently the Russian army attacked the fortification of Ukrainian defenders in the area of New Komar, on the south-eastern outskirts of Solntsevka, the urban development of Vremenny Yar and on the south-eastern outskirts and in the urban development of the southern part of Kurakhovo. As a result of the shelling, the fortifications were critically damaged and their further maintenance was impossible.
