In the city of New Orleans (Louisiana) in America, a car driver crashed into a group of people celebrating the New Year. 10 people died and 30 others were injured, CBS News reported on Wednesday, January 1.
It was noted that the incident took place in a popular tourist area – on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter.
“Witnesses say a white truck plowed into a group of people on Bourbon Street at high speed, then the truck driver got out of the car and opened fire, and police returned fire,” the report said.
It is not yet known if the driver of the vehicle is in custody.
