Houses in the center of Kyiv today, January 1, were attacked by at least four Shahed-type kamikaze drones.
The head of the Presidential Office, Andrei Yermak, announced this in his Telegram channel.
Everything is being promptly investigated by law enforcement officers and experts, he added.
It is known that as a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv, two people were killed and seven more people, including two pregnant women, were injured. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
The search and rescue operation continues. A pre-trial investigation is being carried out into the commission of a war crime that resulted in the death of people (Parts 1 and 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code).
The National Bank of Ukraine on its Facebook page this morning reported that as a result of falling UAV debris, a fire occurred on the roof of one of the NBU buildings in the Pechersky district of Kyiv.
It is noted that the fire was quickly extinguished with the help of State Emergency Service employees, and there were no injuries. Windows on the upper floors were damaged.
All operating systems and services of the National Bank are functioning in full, without changes, the NBU said. — Management and personnel ensuring the smooth operation of the NBU work in accordance with approved protocols.
