“Even on New Year’s Eve, Russia is only worried about how to hurt Ukraine. 111 drone attacks against our cities. Most of them did not achieve their goals thanks to our air defense systems, our mobile fire groups and electronic warfare systems. But, unfortunately, it is currently known about one dead person, “he said.
Zelensky expressed his condolences to the family of the dead woman in Kyiv and thanked those who defend Ukraine.
“Our army, which prevents attacks, is ready to help anywhere in Ukraine, our doctors, everyone whose job is to save lives,” Zelensky added.
We remind you that on New Year’s Eve the Russians launched 111 drones across Ukraine. Of these, 63 were shot. Another 46 enemy UAVs were lost. Two drones flew to Russia and Belarus.
At the same time, the “martyrs” managed to fly to Kyiv and the air defense worked on them. Debris from downed drones fell in Svyatoshinsky and Pechersky districts and caused fires.
In Pechersk, debris partially destroyed the top two floors of a residential building. A woman’s body was found under the rubble. Seven other people were injured.
Also, due to the falling debris of the drone, a fire broke out on the roof of the National Bank building.
