Ukraine, according to Rospropaganda, specifically carried out a UAV attack on Grozny so that the Russian air defense could hit the Azerbaijani plane. Thus, Kyiv allegedly wants relations between Baku and Moscow to deteriorate.
Russian propaganda is actively promoting a new version of the cause of the downing of the Azerbaijani plane, which was shot down in Grozny and fell in Kazakhstan. Now the propagandists are claiming a Ukrainian operation.
Therefore, propagandist Dmitry Kiselev told Russia 1 that the Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles “deliberately created obstacles for civilian ships” in the airspace over the Russian Federation.
And the state television channel Russia Today published a commentary by the director of the Air Defense Museum, Yuri Knutov, saying that the plane crashed because of a “provocation prepared by Kiev”:
“We had a sharp improvement in relations with Azerbaijan Of course, the Kiev regime is very interested in preventing it.
This version also applies to smaller propagandists. In particular, one of them, Yegor Kholmogorov, writes that the attack by Ukrainian UAVs was allegedly specially planned to create “the possibility of an incident.”
As you know, on December 25, an Azerbaijan Airlines plane crashed in Kazakhstan on a Baku-Grozny flight. 38 people were killed, mostly citizens of Azerbaijan.
Later, the media reported that the plane was attacked on approach to Grozny by a missile from the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft complex. After that, the Russians banned the crew from landing at Russian airports.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has accepted Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s apology for the downing of the plane, but still demands recognition of his guilt, punishment of those responsible and payment of compensation.
