In Russia, a sixteen-year-old schoolgirl was detained for a photo of the RDK founder. The media reported that the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case under the article on the justification of terrorism. RosSMI reported this on Sunday, December 29.
The incident occurred on December 27. In the lobby of one of the schools in St. Petersburg, photos of RDK founder Denis Kapustin and a battalion member Alexei Levkin appeared. The photographs were placed on a school stand with the caption “Hero of Russia” under each photograph.
The RDK is participating in the war against Russia on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Denis Kapustin and Alexey Levkin were arrested in absentia in Russia on terrorism charges. In 2023, Kapustin was sentenced to life imprisonment after a “saboteur raid” in the Bryansk region.
After the incident, law enforcement officials also detained the school’s deputy director for educational work, but the woman denied her involvement in the incident.
