As is known, on December 25, an Azerbaijan Airlines plane crashed in Aktau, Kazakhstan, flying on a Baku-Grozny flight. Then 38 people died. A total of 67 people were on board, mostly Azerbaijani citizens.
Later, the media reported that the plane was attacked on approach to Grozny by a missile from the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft complex. After that, the Russians banned the crew from landing at Russian airfields and jammed electronic warfare communications, hoping the plane would crash into the Caspian Sea.
Just today, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin called Aliyev on the phone and apologized for the “tragic incident in Russian airspace.” At the same time, the Kremlin press service did not say a word about what exactly caused the plane crash.
