The whole of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region was left without electricity – power engineers are investigating the cause of the loss of electricity.
The time for power restoration is unknown. Currently, there are 11 thousand residents in the Pokrovskaya community, including 27 children. Earlier, the OVA reported that about 3 km remained from the front line to Pokrovsk.
Photographers Vlada and Konstantin Liberov published several photos from the city and commented on the situation in Pokrovsk:
Locals come out of their basements only to cover broken windows with plywood, clean up trash, and feed street animals. The roar of artillery in the background does not subside for a second, sometimes the ground trembles under your feet.
We arrive at the address of one of the evacuation requests. We knock on the door for a long time, but no one answers. The apartment door is open, so we carefully go inside, calling for the owner. There is no one. And in the middle of the room we see a picture that cuts into the heart.
A table neatly laid with a white tablecloth, in the middle of which there are empty dishes decorated with a New Year’s garland, and behind there is a small Christmas tree. A thought flashed through my mind, which I immediately drive away from myself: is this really our last Christmas in Pokrovsk?
