Alexander Lukashenko chose a place to put the Oreshnik complexes “in both an oak and a birch grove.”
The formal leader of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, wants to make a stockpile of Russian Oreshnik missiles and deploy 10 such systems in his country. He said this on Thursday, December 26.
“I think there are a dozen at the moment, and then we will see if the Russians want to put more, we will put more,” Lukashenko said on the sidelines of a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, which held today at. Igora resort, near St. Petersburg.
At this time, he was approached by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
“If the Russians want to put more, we will put more,” Lukashenko said. To which Putin replied: “Well, ten, more.” And Lukashenko explained that he was speaking “with reserve.”
He also made sure that he chose a place where the complexes would be placed “in an oak and a birch grove.”

Let’s recall that on December 6 in Minsk, Lukashenko asked Putin to deploy Oreshnik missiles in Belarus. Putin replied that he considered it possible in the second half of 2025.
A few days later, Lukashenko said that sites where strategic nuclear missiles are located have been preserved in Belarus since the Soviet era. Now they plan to put Oreshnik there.
