Seven people were injured, including a 58-year-old taxi driver who was attacked, and six pedestrians: a 9-year-old boy, two women aged 49 and four other women aged 19, 37 and 41. Three victims were taken to the hospital, the others refused hospitalization.
“All pedestrian injuries were non-life threatening,” the statement said.
The accident happened outside Macy’s Midtown Manhattan flagship store in Herald Square, which is popular with tourists and locals during the holiday season.
