The plane was damaged by Russian air defenses and sent to Kazakhstan instead of being given an emergency landing.
The Russians destroyed an Azerbaijani passenger plane with an anti-aircraft missile system, causing the plane to crash in Kazakhstan. This was announced by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andrey Kovalenko on Telegram.
“This morning, an Embraer 190 aircraft of the Azerbaijani airline, flying from Baku to Grozny, was shot down by a Russian air defense system,” the official said.
According to him, Russia should have closed the airspace over Grozny during a possible drone attack, but it did not.
In addition, after the Russian air defense plane was destroyed, it was sent to Kazakhstan, where instead it should have been allowed to land in Grozny and save lives.
We remind you that a passenger plane flying from the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, to Russian Grozny, crashed in the Kazakh city of Aktau.
