A heavy snowstorm left thousands of homes in Bosnia without power on Christmas Eve and caused traffic chaos. Sky News reported this on Tuesday, December 24.
Bosnia’s state energy company said the situation was “very difficult” in some parts of the country as heavy snow cut power lines.
“Nearly 200 thousand homes were left without electricity,” they reported.
In addition, heavy vehicle traffic was banned in three parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and train services were suspended in parts of Bosnia.
“Due to bad weather, dozens of cars were stuck in the snow for more than ten hours in the western part of the country overnight before they could continue their journey,” the journalists pointed out.
