In Ukraine, electricity consumption shows a growing trend.
The press service of Ukrenergo reported this today, December 23.
Thus, as of 9:30 today, the consumption level was 2.5% higher than at the same time of the previous working day – on Friday, December 20.
This is explained by the traditional increase in consumption at the beginning of the work week, cloudy weather and a decrease in air temperature in most regions, Ukrenergo notes.
Yesterday, December 22, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 2.3% below the previous day’s high on Saturday, December 21.
The Ukrainian power grid continues to recover from twelve massive Russian attacks since the beginning of this year, and there remains a significant power deficit. Therefore, the need for economical consumption of electricity still remains, notes Ukrenergo.
Electricity imports will take place within 24 hours from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova with a total volume of 9 thousand. 259 MWh.
Ukrainians are urged not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time from 8:00 to 20:00.
