Pavel Tkachuk was fired after the Defense Minister’s report to President Vladimir Zelensky.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov dismissed the head of the National Academy of Ground Forces named. Peter Sagaidachny and Lieutenant General Pavel Tkachuk. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense on Wednesday, December 18.
“During the visit of President Vladimir Zelensky to Lvov, the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov reported to the head of state on the results of the audit of the main inspection of the Ministry of Defense on the activities of the National Academy of Ground Forces and many violations identified by the State Institute of Defense,” the statement said.
It is known that the President has ordered to immediately correct the current situation.
“Today, by order of the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Pavel Tkachuk was removed from the post of head of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sagaidachny,” the Ministry of Defense reported.
Let’s recall that in June, the head of the training course of one of the faculties of the National Academy of Land Forces named Hetman Petro Sagaidachny was declared suspicious.
The officer beat and humiliated the cadets for more than a year, trying to “teach” them discipline and order. It happened on the territory of the academy in Lvov and in the barracks in one of the villages of the region.
