On the night of December 18, 2024 (from 19.00 on December 17), the Russians attacked Ukraine with the 81st Shahed attack UAV and other types of drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 9.00, it was confirmed that 51 attack UAVs of the Shahed type and other types of drones were killed in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkov, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky, Cherkassy, Kirovograd, Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions.
As a result of active opposition from the Defense Forces, 30 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences). No hits were recorded, no damage or casualties were reported.
