In addition to the new aid package for Ukraine, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that Poland will restore the Solnyshko Villa in Lviv, which was destroyed by Russia on September 4.
City Mayor Andrei Sadovy announced this on December 17.
This is a historical building on Melnik Street, which is an architectural monument of local importance. The villa was built by order of the director of the Lviv city theater Ludwik Geller more than a hundred years ago.
The building received its name because of the sun on the facades made of wood carvings and stucco.
During a massive missile attack on Lviv, the roof and part of the building were significantly damaged. According to preliminary calculations, the estimated cost of the work is 20 million hryvnia.
