    On the night of today, December 17 (from 23.00 on December 16), Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with 31 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones from the areas of Bryansk and Orel.

    .

    This was reported by the press service of the Air Force Command.

    The air attack is repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the message says.

    It is noted that as of 12:00:

    • the destruction of 20 attack UAVs of the “Shahed” type and drones of other types was confirmed in the Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Zhytomyr and Cherkasy regions;
    • due to active opposition from the defense forces, 10 enemy drones did not reach their targets (locally lost);
    • one UAV is still present.

    No hits were recorded, no damage or casualties were reported. Combat work continues, the Air Force noted.
