In Moscow, as a result of an explosion today, December 17, in the morning, the head of the radiation, chemical and biological defense forces with the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Kirilov, was killed. His assistant also died.
Russian media reported this. Subsequently, the death of Kirillov was confirmed by the Investigative Committee of Russia.
According to local residents, the explosion occurred as the men were leaving the house. The Russian investigative committee said that “an explosive device planted in a scooter standing next to the entrance of a residential building was detonated.”
In the photographs, a car is visible near the explosion site – according to Russian media, it was used by Kirilov.
At the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Kirilov stated that the Ukrainians were allegedly developing biological weapons that would be carried by birds and “capable of selectively infecting various ethnic groups of the population.”
Recently, the SBU informed Kirilov in absentia of suspicion – he ordered the use of a chemical agent against the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
