North Korean troops faced difficulties with heavy casualties and poor communication with the Russians.
The language barrier and poor coordination had a negative impact on the joint operations of Russian-Korean troops in the Kursk region. This is stated in a report by analysts from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
“North Korean forces are facing expected difficulties with heavy casualties and poor communication with Russian forces in the Kursk region, disrupting coordination between North Korean and Russian troops and undermining military operations of Russia,” the report said.
Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Military Intelligence earlier reported that the DPRK military in the Kursk region opened fire on Chechen Akhmat battalion vehicles and killed eight Chechens, possibly due to a language barrier between Russian and North Korean forces .
As analysts note, these communication problems are unlikely to be resolved in the near future and will continue to complicate Russian military operations in the Kursk region.
Let’s remember that on Saturday, President Vladimir Zelensky announced that the Russian army began using soldiers from North Korea in attacks.
Let’s add that the Main Intelligence Directorate also spoke about the first losses of the North Korean military.
