Seven people, passengers of the Mercedes Sprinter minibus, died on the spot from injuries sustained as a result of the accident.
A triple accident occurred near Lviv – involving a truck, a car and a minibus. Seven people died and three were injured, the National Police Department in the Lviv region reported on Sunday, December 15.
As previously established by the police, at 05.30 on the Ternopil – Lviv – Rava-Russkaya highway near the village of Chizhikov, Lviv district, a collision occurred between a BMW car, a DAF road train and a Mercedes Sprinter minibus.
“Seven people, passengers of a Mercedes Sprinter minibus, whose details have been clarified, died on the spot from injuries received as a result of the accident,” the statement said.
In addition, three people were injured – a 45-year-old truck driver, a 39-year-old minibus driver and his 23-year-old passenger. They were hospitalized in a hospital in Lviv.
Investigators and criminologists of the National Police, as well as employees of other services, are working at the scene of the accident. Criminal proceedings are opened under the article on violation of road safety rules or transport operation by persons driving vehicles (Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
We remind you that in the Lviv region a pedestrian was hit by the tires of three cars. The man died on the spot from his injuries.
There was also a fatal accident on the Dnepr. A 10-year-old girl died in the accident. Four other people, including two small children, were injured.
