A triple accident occurred in the Lviv region.
On Sunday, December 15, a BMW car, a DAF road train and a Mercedes Sprinter minibus collided on the Ternopil – Lviv – Rava-Russkaya highway near the village of Chizhikov, Lviv district. This was reported by the police of the Lviv region.
Seven people were killed in road accidents. The passengers of the minibus were killed, the details are being clarified. A 45-year-old truck driver, a 39-year-old minibus driver and his 23-year-old passenger were also injured. They were hospitalized in a hospital in Lvov.
Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 286 (violation of road safety rules or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with or without deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
Let us remind you that on November 4 in Kyiv, on Teremki, a bus caused a large-scale accident on Academician Zabolotnogo Street. At least two people died as a result of the accident.
