According to the ambassador, in recent days his phone has received “a bunch of messages from pranksters/attackers” posing as US officials and either asking for direct contacts with Ukrainian officials or an urgent conversation In this case, the attackers pretend to be writing from a secret phone.

He explained that he made the decision to report the pranksters’ actions because of the “increase of such contacts, as well as the relatively good quality of enforcement” and urged colleagues to be vigilant.
