Russia has announced the arrest of a suspect who allegedly planted explosives in Sergei Evsyukov’s car.
Footage of the moment the car of the head of the Yelenovskaya colony, Sergei Yevsyukov, was blown up in the middle of temporarily occupied Donetsk appeared online. The video was published by journalist Andrey Tsaplienkov on Telegram on Sunday, December 15.
The footage shows an unidentified man walking away from a Toyota Land Cruiser SUV. After some time, people got into the car and heard a loud explosion.
Meanwhile, Russian Telegram channels reported the arrest of the suspect who planted explosives in Yevsyukov’s car. Apparently he was “recruited” by the Ukrainian special services and promised 10 thousand dollars.
We remind you that on December 9, the SUV of the head of the Yelenovskaya colony, Sergei Yevsyukov, was blown up in Donetsk. The incident took place on Universitetskaya Street near the Park Inn hotel. Evsyukov died on the spot, and his wife was hospitalized in serious condition – the woman’s leg was torn.
As is known, on July 29, 2022, Russia launched a missile attack on the colony in Olenovka and killed at least 53 Ukrainian prisoners, about 150 were injured. Neither the UN nor the Red Cross was granted access to the colony.
In July 2023, the SBU reported suspicion of the former leadership of the Yelenovskaya colony.
