The DPRK military in the Kursk region missed the bearings and covered the Chechen unit Akhmat’s vehicle with fire, as a result of which eight Russian servicemen were killed. This was announced on Saturday, December 14, by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region.
They noted that in the process of using North Korean troops on the battlefield, the language barrier remains a difficult obstacle to control and coordinate actions.
“Due to this problem, North Korean soldiers opened fire on the vehicles of the so-called Akhmat battalion. The result was eight dead Kadyrovites,” the report said.
The Main Director of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense recalled that in total there are about 11 thousand military personnel of the DPRK army on the territory of Russia and in the places where they are located, the Russian authorities have introduced a “special regime counterintelligence.”
“In order to allow in the places where North Korean units are located, Russian soldiers and officers are checked by FSB officers, phones and other devices are confiscated,” the intelligence service explained.
The Main Intelligence Directorate also spoke about North Korea’s first military losses.
