Defense Minister Rustem Umerov agreed with US representatives to deepen cooperation in the field of cybersecurity. We are talking about increasing investment in Ukrainian innovation, strengthening the digital infrastructure and introducing the latest technologies. The head of the Ministry of Defense announced this on Saturday, December 14.
He said that on that day he met with the US delegation led by Ambassador at Large of the US State Department, Nathaniel Fick. Department of Defense Innovation director Doug Beck and US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink also joined the discussion. The main focus of the meeting is cybersecurity, where Ukraine aims to learn as much as possible from America’s experience in dealing with digital threats.
According to Umerov, the Ukrainian team presented to the American delegation the digital solutions of the Ministry of Defense, in particular, the Army+ and Reserve+ applications, the DELTA ecosystem for military needs, as well as the creation of a CyberIncident Response Center , which should be an important element in countering the enemy on the digital battlefield.
“We agree with Nathaniel Fick and Doug Beck on further deepening of cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in the field of cybersecurity. specifically artificial intelligence,” added the head of the Ministry of Defense.
