The holiday in Ukraine will be switched off in a new way – the Ministry of Energy has approved new Instructions on the preparation and application of hourly power outage schedules.
Equal principles for the application of schedules are provided in all areas. All distribution system operators are now adapting their schedules to the new requirements. The Ukrenergo company announced this on December 12 in Telegram.
It is noted that hourly outage schedules (HSO) will be unified everywhere. Each group will receive an exact time, taking into account the distribution according to the criteria of day/night, weekday/weekend.
It was decided to further divide each GPO queue into two sub-queues.
The new instructions stipulate that subscribers are officially given up to 30 minutes to de-energize and heal.
Ukrenergo added that the final equalization of the duration of power outages will occur at the end of the week. Regional power companies will be responsible for this.
The power engineers also recalled that in war conditions, due to systematic enemy attacks on energy facilities, not only hourly, but also emergency power outages are possible.
Let us remind you that in Ukraine on December 12, one or two stages of shutdowns will be applied. For industry and business, power limitation schedules will be in effect from 07:00 to 22:00.
