Ukraine understands that it cannot be a member of the North Atlantic Alliance during a widespread war.
Ukraine’s invitation to NATO should reach the entire territory of the country within the framework of international recognized boundaries. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this on Wednesday, December 11, in a CBN interview.
“If we want to end the war, we should give NATO to Ukraine the invitation is given throughout the territory of Ukraine that cannot be violated,” he said.
The President emphasized that no one but NATO can guarantee the protection of Ukraine and an invitation to the Alliance the first step in this path.
He emphasized that KYIV understands that the United States and other partners cannot bring Ukraine to the Alliance until the end of the war, so we are talking about an invitation.
“Ukraine understands and does not want to drag the military by other countries in this war that will not be accepted to NATO but if we want to end the war, we should give NATO to Ukraine,” the President emphasized.
President Vladimir Zelensky spoke with Nato Secretary General Mark Rutte, discussing specific ways to achieve peace, citing the need for intensive cooperation between world leaders before negotiations in December.
