In the Sumy region, a pregnant mother saved three children during a fire.
The press service of the State Emergency Service reported this today, December 11.
It is noted that at the time of the fire, the owner and three children were at home in a private residential building. Her ten-year-old daughter reported the fire – it was burning in the bathroom and kitchen, the plastic ceiling began to melt, and acrid smoke filled the apartment.
The owner of the house was not at a loss and ran for a fire extinguisher to put out the fire herself. The fire spread, the woman carried out her 3-year-old son and ran out into the street with her older daughters. She gave the children to neighbors, and she returned to the scene and called rescuers, the department said.
The fire was extinguished. The preliminary cause of its occurrence is a short circuit in the electrical network.
Keep a fire extinguisher handy and learn fire safety rules. Your knowledge can save lives! – the department notes.
