The bridge is planned to be built on the Ukrainian-Romanian state border between the settlements of Bila Tserkva – Sighetu-Marmatie.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved an agreement with the Romanian government on the construction of a border road bridge across the Tisa River in the Transcarpathian region. This was announced by the permanent representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk on Telegram on Tuesday, December 10.
“An agreement was approved between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine🇺🇦 and the Government of Romania on the construction of a border road bridge across the Tisza River on the Ukrainian-Romanian state border between the settlements of Bila Tserkva (Ukraine) – Sighetu -Marmatia (Romania),” he wrote.
As you know, in October 2023, the governments of Ukraine and Romania signed an agreement on the construction of a 261-meter bridge across the Tisa River. It was then planned that it would be built before the end of 2024.
We remind you that most Ukrainians of military age die while swimming across the Tisza River in Transcarpathia. The last drowned man was discovered a few days ago.
