The President of Brazil is undergoing major skull surgery

The politician underwent a craniotomy to remove a subdural hematoma caused by the fall.

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva underwent surgery on his skull after suffering a head injury in a fall at home on October 19. This was reported by Reuters on Tuesday, December 10.

The politician underwent a craniotomy (craniotomy – ed.) to drain the subdural hematoma. The operation took place in one of the clinics in Sao Paulo and there were no complications.

The 78-year-old Brazilian president is in stable condition. He is now in the intensive care unit under medical supervision.

It is known that Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva fell at home at the end of October. The politician received a head injury, because of which he did not go to the BRICS summit in Russia.

We remind you that the previous Polish President Andrzej Duda underwent surgery after an injury, as a result of which he lost the tip of his finger.

Latvian President Edgars Rinkevich broke his wrists and fingers on his right hand when he fell from a bicycle.
