In 2025, the “Affordable Medicines” reimbursement program will be significantly expanded, thanks to which Ukrainians can receive medicines against the most common chronic diseases free of charge or with partial copayment.
The Ministry of Health reported this on December 9.
The updated program will include more than 30 new active ingredients, including combination drugs for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. As well as rheumatological, neurological, eye and endocrinological diseases, such as hypothyroidism and migraine.
The Ministry of Health convinces that this will save money for at least 500 thousand Ukrainians.
For the first time, medications for children will be available, as well as medications in the form of drops and ointments.
The program is being expanded as part of the Winter Support initiative.
The Ministry of Health said in a statement that residents of villages, front-line and remote areas can receive medicines through Ukrposhta or at mobile pharmacies.
Let us remind you that the “Affordable Medicine” reimbursement program allows Ukrainians to receive medications against the most common chronic diseases free of charge or with partial copayment. Over five years, about 5 million citizens have used it.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers reported that in addition to 1 thousand UAH for “Winter Esupport”, in December “Action” will have the opportunity to receive 908 hryvnia for the purchase of books in the Ukrainian language. The program will be available to all Ukrainians who turn 18 in 2024.
