The United States has carried out dozens of precision airstrikes against ISIS camps and militants in central Syria.
American forces used aircraft on December 8, including B-52 bombers, F-15 fighters and A-10 attack aircraft. During the operation, the US Air Force managed to hit more than 75 targets. This was reported by US Central Command.
The US acted as part of the mission to destroy and defeat ISIS to prevent the terrorist group’s ability to conduct external operations and ensure that it would not attempt to take advantage of the situation in Syria. The military is currently assessing the terrorists’ military losses. No civilians were injured.
There should be no doubt – we will not allow ISIS to recover and take advantage of the current situation in Syria. All organizations in Syria must know that we will hold them accountable if they partner with or support ISIS in any way, US General Michael Eric Kurilla stressed.
Let us recall that on December 8, the Israeli army carried out three air strikes on a security complex and a government research center in Damascus. The center has been used by Iran to develop missiles in the past.
