The main obstacle to the expansion of pilot training is the insufficient number of Ukrainian candidates to develop full flying skills.
The United States of America is ready to strengthen the training of Ukrainian pilots in F-16 fighters, but now the pace of training is being held back due to the lack of Ukrainian aviators. This is what White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said at the National Defense Forum in the United States.
“We trained a limited number of pilots, not because we weren’t ready to train them, we were ready and as much as possible,” Sullivan said.
However, according to the official, the main obstacle to the expansion of pilot training is the insufficient number of Ukrainian candidates to develop full flight capabilities.
We remind you that in July Ukraine received the first F-16 fighter.
The other day, the president announced that Ukraine received the second batch of F-16 fighters from Denmark.
