The situation around Velika Novoselka in the Donetsk region has worsened even more.
Now the main battles are taking place on the southern approaches to this settlement, in particular in the areas between Rivne and Makarovka. This is what analysts from the DeepState project reported on Telegram.
It is noted that the first attempts of the Russians to enter New Komar had short-term success, because the Ukrainian defenders cleared the village and drove the enemy out of it. But the assaults do not stop there and small groups of infantry are still trying to get closer to the village.
DeepState reports that in the captured area near Velikaya Novoselka, the Russians are building advanced engineering and fortification structures and consolidating their position. Assault groups are being deployed here to attack Ukrainian positions.
Let us recall that on December 7, the British Ministry of Defense reported that in recent weeks the Russian occupiers have focused on the following areas: Pokrovskaya Axis, Kurakhovskaya Axis and Bolshaya Novoselka. All of them are located in the Donetsk region, in the southeast of Ukraine and are closely connected with each other.
