“The United States Department of Defense today announced a significant new security package designed to give Ukraine the tools it needs to overcome Russian aggression,” the statement said.
It was noted that the defense assistance package provides for the allocation of an additional $988 million under the Ukraine Assistance Initiative (USAI), which will provide Ukraine with ammunition for missile systems and unmanned aerial vehicles.
This package also includes support for maintenance and repair programs that will help Ukraine rebuild its armed forces, build and sustain combat power.”
The package includes, in particular:

equipment, parts and spare parts for maintenance, repair and overhaul of artillery systems, tanks and armored vehicles.
As the Pentagon noted, this is the twenty-second USAI package from the Biden administration.
