It is at least the third time a monument to Hafez al-Assad has been demolished since the rebel offensive began.
In Syria, in the suburbs of the country’s capital Damascus – Jaramani – rebels demolished a monument to Hafez al-Assad, the father of President Bashar al-Assad. This was reported by the journalist of the German publication Bild Julian Repke on the social network X on Saturday, December 7.
“Jaramana, 114 thousand inhabitants, 5 kilometers south of the center of Damascus This is the Christian-Druze city that became the first within the urban area of the Syrian capital to rebel against Assad,” he wrote.

It will be remembered that the rebels are advancing on the government forces in different parts of Syria, and the government troops, supported by Russia, are quickly retreating.
In the past, the media reported that Assad may leave Damascus. He reportedly went to Tehran to negotiate with Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei.
