The Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications Nikolai Tochitsky announced the dismissal of acting Director of the Center for Strategic Communications and Security Sergei Bykov. He wrote this on the social network X on Saturday, December 7.
“Regarding the discussion in the public space, I note: the appointment of the acting director of the Scientific Center for Tourism Development was carried out for the technical purpose of re-registration as the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security dismissed by of the ICSC order,” said the minister.
We remind you that the day before it became known that the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications changed the Scientific Center for Tourism Development to the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security and appointed political consultant Sergei Bykov as acting director.
According to media reports, after the Revolution of Dignity, Bykov presented theses in favor of Viktor Medvedchuk, who was accused of treason. In particular, he emphasized that instead of cooperation with the EU and NATO, the “Medvedchuk peace plan” should be implemented. Bykov also called the Revolution of Dignity a “coup d’etat”.
