Ukraine has returned 3,767 people from Russian captivity, including 168 civilians.

In the new year there may be positive news about the return of Ukrainians from Russian captivity. Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets said this in a telethon on Saturday, December 7.

“There is communication, I really hope that in the new year we will have positive news. I do not want the Ukrainian society to see this information as an announcement Federation,” – he said.

The main intermediary is also usually the United Arab Emirates.

At the same time, the Ombudsman reported that Russia refused to cooperate in returning Ukrainian children home. According to Lubinets, each return of a child is a separate operation, sometimes complicated and long.

By the end of November, Ukraine had returned 3,767 people from Russian captivity, including 168 civilians.

Let’s remember that the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, previously said that Russia is ready to exchange 630 Ukrainian prisoners of war and begin preparations for further similar measures.
