Powerful equipment will work in one of the boiler houses of the regional center of the Rivne region, providing it with electricity and the residents of the city with heat.
Another cogeneration gas piston unit producing electricity from gas was launched in Rivne. This was reported by local OVA on Saturday, December 7.
It is indicated that this is powerful equipment that will work in one of the boiler houses of the regional center of the Rivne region, providing it with electricity and the residents of the city with heat.
Overall, this is the eighth such installation for the Rivne region, which the region received as part of the collaboration of the Rivne Regional State Administration, the Ministry of Reconstruction and the USAID energy security project.
“The equipment runs on gas and produces heat and electricity. This assistance from USAID is one of the important parts of international support for Ukraine’s energy security. The creation of decentralized electrical networks in the conditions of war is very necessary,” said Deputy Chairman of the OBA Lyudmila Shatkovskaya.
In total, nine units of such equipment were transferred to the Rivne region: Rivne received three cogeneration units, four in Dubno and two in Zdolbunov.
We remind you that a month ago the first gas piston unit was launched in Kyiv. It is capable of providing 1.5 MW of energy for critical infrastructure.
And in early November, Odessa received the first of four gas piston stations planned to be installed in the city with financial assistance from the governments of Japan, Norway and Sweden.
